Denise is a
licensed Speech Language Pathologist and NH DOE certified Learning Disabilities
Specialist. She earned her Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders
at UNH and continued advanced graduate studies in Learning Disabilities and
Auditory Processing. Denise is also certified in Early Childhood Education:
Faculty Level 3, which enables her to teach language and literacy development at
the college level. She has worked with children in various public schools for
over 20 years. Denise also worked in a hospital with adults post stroke and
those with traumatic brain injuries.
When not
working, Denise loves spending time with her family, walking with her labs,
kayaking, music, skiing, and reading.

Experience...
Denise has
evaluated and treated children with a wide range of speech and language
challenges and learning disabilities. She has mentored graduate level students
while they earned their Masters degrees in both Communication Disorders and
Special Education. . She served on a research team that investigated
communication patterns of children with Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum (ACC).
While at Catholic Medical Center, Denise evaluated and treated adults who
required cognitive, swallowing, expressive and receptive language, and word
retrieval therapy. Her work at Granite State College included design of a Speech
Language Assistant Program. Denise designed and continues to instruct courses
related to the program, and Language and Literacy Development.
