Ellen Fish-Kingsbury, M.S., A.R.N.P,
Psychotherapy
Ellen Kingsbury, M.S., A.R.N.P. is an
advanced nurse practitioner in psychiatry/mental health. She has over thirty
years of experience working with adults, adolescents, couples and groups. She
has taught psychiatric nursing at Boston University and the University of New
Hampshire.
Ms.
Kingsbury provides psychotherapy and medication evaluation as needed. She works
closely with clients to assure the correct therapeutic dosage of medication. She
encourages journal use in her work with clients and asks people to tape their
sessions so as to listen to their session at home and thereby gain a deeper
understanding of what brought them into therapy.
Ellen is a certified ski instructor and teaches for the Maine Handicapped Ski
program. She is also a certified yoga teacher, and teaches privately. She has
completed the Kabat-Zinn training program in Mindfulness Meditation and
encourages clients to learn and practice meditation.
