Lisa Spurling is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
Lisa provides psychotherapy for children ages 3 and up, adolescents and adults.
She also offers parenting education and support, Career/Life Coaching, along
with consults/training within school systems.
Lisa believes that there are many factors in today’s culture
which lead people to feel isolated, unfulfilled, or sad. Lisa feels therapy
should focus on developing a person's strengths, thus empowering them to cope
with life's stressors. Lisa’s style of therapy, in addition to being
strength-based, is also solution focused. This style helps clients move through
limiting thoughts and patterns to reach their goals.
In addition to private practice, Lisa
has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in agencies,
residential/day treatment programs and schools. Within the school system she
has worked as a consultant, vocational counselor, therapeutic counselor and
behavior specialist. Lisa believes it is important to continue always expand
her knowledge base by attending conferences, supervision, and being a member of
various professional associations.
