The Touch of
Sunshine ~ CranioSacral Therapy
Peggy’s
philosophy in life is to realize the gift you have been given and to share it
with others. Peggy’s gift of giving through her hands grows with each passing
day.
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle light touch approach that provides an
opportunity for the body to relax and heal itself. It is effective for all ages,
from newborn to elders. The human body is always naturally trying to maintain
balance and homeostasis. Throughout life, each one of us sustains countless
traumas which may be either physical or emotional in nature. Regardless of
whether these traumas are big or small in magnitude, the body has to figure out
how to deal with them. Most of the time, the body is able to handle these
insults and restore balance. If the trauma is too big, or if there are multiple
traumas that accumulate, the body is overloaded and unable to restore balance on
its own.
As the body tries to sort out and handle all that is has sustained, it often
chooses a coping mechanism that is not beneficial for the overall wellness of
both the body and mind. This results in physical and/or emotional disease and
dysfunction.
During a CST session, Peggy will use a light touch to locate areas of pain,
disease and dysfunction, those that are known to the patient and those that may
be hidden. She will then follow and release the restrictions in the order that
each client’s body presents. The ultimate goal is to get to the source and get
the client back on the road to recovery.
Peggy’s life philosophy to share her gift with others extends beyond each
treatment session. Peggy hopes to share her passion for CST with everyone she
works with by teaching simple CST techniques. There is nothing more rewarding
then giving each client skills to help themselves. At the end of the session,
Peggy’s goal is to leave those she touches with “the Touch of Sunshine”.
Education: Peggy
graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA in May, 1993 with a Masters
degree in Physical Therapy. In 1998, Peggy began her training in CranioSacral
